I'm really not a big fan of Kirk Douglas .I did this drawing about two years ago....its the only realistic drawing I have that can actually fit in my scanner.
I wish i used workable fixative on it...that really would have helped. I used only one ebony pencil and a shading stump.
I was pretty primative back then.
I don't draw from photographs other than the ones i take now....and I don't really draw realistic anymore its too time consuming and predictable.

very nice piece of drawing, it really is a talent to be able to work so realistic... and then decide you can't be arsed, and take that talent elsewhere. onwards and upwards
